Our Reps & Feedback

Reps in Resort

Head of Resort;

Overseeing resort operations for all groups that week.

Head Rep;

Each group, regardless of how many groups we have out in resort each will have a dedicated Head Rep overseeing their groups requirements and General Reps that week.

General Reps;

On average there will be a 1:25 rep/tripper ratio.  General Reps will be with you from the word go, meeting you on campus to get you aboard the coach, escorting you across the channel, handing out the all important welcome packs at your supermarket stop and finally greeting you in resort.  Once in resort they will also be there with you every step of the way, in the hire shop, at lessons and dancing on tables at après.  Every night your Room Rep will come see you to make sure you are all loving your trip, kept up to date with that evenings social plans and to answer any questions.  Finally the Reps will be at the bars partying with you in to the small hours and making sure you all make it home safe.   There will also be dedicated Coach and Beginner Reps where necessary.

Rep Selection

How we drill our staff into amazing reps!
Our remit is simple. We look for the best, most committed, conscientious, charismatic, resilient, hardworking and dedicated ambassadors for the Wasteland brand that we can possibly find. The UK based Wasteland rep selection weekend is designed to recognise the fundamental importance of exceptional resort staff to your trip, we know our reps make your holiday. Wasteland is unique in its training approach; why waste days on a coach to a mostly closed ski resort when we can maximise time for training and get the best guys for our clients? The “selection” part of this process is key, throughout this intense yet enjoyable weekend we assess each applicant on a range of vital repping skills and qualities – if they aren’t good enough, they won’t work for us – full stop.

After each trip trippers will receive a bespoke Feedback survey to your trip on the Saturday they arrive back in the UK. This will be twinned with our WasteCam photos from the week so they relive their forgotten memories from the trip. This will give them a chance to let us know how the trip went from all aspects to ensure any issues can be dealt with straight away.  To view a few of our current Instagram snaps please see here.

We action all feedback within 2 weeks and reply directly to trippers with any urgent issues.  We then compile a Feedback Report on the trip which we can then use at the committee feedback meeting after the trip if necessary.

This is unique in the student snowsports industry and are the only company currently offering such transparent and detailed feedback on our trips. This is also great for committees as it gives you a better idea of how the trip went for your trippers as for large groups this is sometimes hard to gauge.
