Its proven that due to global warming the ice caps are melting and sea levels are rising. This causes massive devastation all around the world, particularly affecting areas such as the Northern Territory in Australia and China. These floods cause masses of destruction and many people's homes are destroyed. However, it seems that the rise in temperatures aren't always a bad thing...

A new skiing thrill has been introduced in Les Arcs in France. The ' Apocalypse Snow Park Water Slide' is situated at the bottom of Piste Clair Blanc and is an atrraction for many skiers and snowboarders. Skiers from as young as seven are braving the 15 metre ice cold pool and hundreds of people are taking the plunge everyday. This new attraction has caused some anger from many local villagers who believe it to be an unnecessary health and safety risk. However, this new addition to Les Arcs snow park has sparked new, unforseen, interest in the resort.

Villagers have got one thing right though, this can be an extremeley dangerous activity with a high risk of injury. When/ if you take part please remember that you do this at your own risk.
