The popular, high altitude resort of Tignes is made up of the villages - Le Lac, Le Lavachet and Val Claret, all of which are linked by a free shuttle bus.
There is excellent access to the mountain from all villages and from the top village of Val Claret you can catch a high speed funicular up to the stunning Grande Motte glacier. There is also a direct lift that will take you to the nieghbouring resort of Val D’Isere.
Tignes is located in the Espace Killy area, which is regularly reffered to as Europe’s best and most beautiful ski area. By selecting the Espace Killy pass, you will have access to 2 glaciers and an incredible 300km of runs! The area is also famed for its astounding off-piste with great lift access.
While the more advanced skiers explore the glaciers, beginners will find plenty here for them too, with an excellent selection of nursery slopes, 5 free ski lifts and lots of wide, easy runs to get to grips with.
Once you have hung up your skis or snowboard you can head to one of the resorts numerous saunas and ham-mams to relax, watch a film at one of the cinemas or have a drink or two and experience Tignes’ amazing nightlife
