Resort Info

Situated on the fringe of the La Vanoise national park and the newest of the 3 valleys resorts, La Tania blends into its natural surroundings. Balancing the importance of environmental preservation and functional architecture La Tania has succeeded in creating what a modern resort should be. Today considered an admirable alternative for those that want access to one of the world’s largest ski areas and a friendly atmosphere.

The appropriate lift pass allows access to 600km of slopes where skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season with many slopes above 2500m. Beginners benefit from long wide greens and blues which are served by a free drag lift. Intermediates will struggle to take their pick from a selection of blue and red runs widely considered to be un matched anywhere in the world. Legendary runs from La Saluire make up some of the most challenging. Experts are equally well spoilt, just to name a few The Ugly Sisters, Jockeys and Jean Blanc can get of the scale.  Off piste opportunities are equally impressive with expansive emptiness to be explored, even Heliskiing is an option to take it to the extreme. Snowboarders have vast opportunities ranging from parks and pipes such as in Moon Park to massive powder fields like Dou der Lanches for free riders.

The informality of La Tania means that you make it what it is. Nightlife is dependent on how far you want to push it.  Weekly entertainment is extensive and well organised so are the easy links to surrounding resorts such as Meribel or Courchevel if you want to play away from home.
