Resort Info

In the Portes du Soleil area, one of the biggest areas in the world, sits the stunning resort of Avoriaz.  Avoriaz is able to enjoy great snow throughout the season and its 650 km of pistes which extend over 2 countries have lead to it being named a ‘deep powder nature reserve’. Its 50 slopes combined with a snowpark and half-pipe make it a great destination for skiers and boarders of all abilities.

If you’re looking for a friendly and festive atmosphere then this is the resort for you. The layout makes it easy to get around this totally car and bus-free resort, but if you do feel the need to put your feet up as you travel, you could always catch a horse drawn sledge.

The resort itself caters for every style of break. If you’re looking for somewhere to party hard, there are plenty of bars within easy walking distance from each other to keep you going until well after après. While if it’s an activity-filled holiday you’re after, Avoriaz offers bowling, ice-skating and sleigh-rides, all of which you can follow with a trip to the spa or relaxation centre.

If you’re worried that all of that won’t be enough to keep you busy for your whole holiday, time your break to coincide with one of the resorts numerous annual events, including The Fête de la Glisse/Rock on Ski & Snowboard in December and the Snow Energy Festival in January.
