Straddling the border of France and Switzerland Geneva is ideally situated to access many resorts in the Swiss and French Alps. The airport is serviced by almost 50 airlines including bmibaby, easy jet and flybe from over 100 locations worldwide.
Amenities at the airport include around 20 cafes, bars and restaurants, 60 shops, showers, postal services and plenty of ATMs. Opening seven days a week and including a duty free you won’t be left stranded for last minute purchases.
Flying into Geneva can mean additional boarder crossings depending on your final destination, sometimes resulting in longer transfer periods. Language barriers can present a problem when booking on-line for transfers so look out for the English translation.
The airport is very well connected to Geneva and the rest of Europe. Only 300m from the motorway it has regular bus services to many popular resorts. In addition there are some direct trains to areas in Switzerland and Italy which can be booked on www.sbb.ch/en.
